Phoenix, AZ --- The American Foundation announced some of the milestones it has passed in the Year 2000. Some of the highlights of the year include:

Year 2000 Highlights

1. With the addition of approximately $50 million in foundation and trust values, the American Foundation and its affiliated trusts and foundations closed the year at $117 million in assets, up from $67 million one year ago.

2. Additional foundation and trust cases in progress total over $500 million.

3. The number of family foundations in the American Foundation's family increased by almost 50% in a single year.

4. Gifts to charities from the American Foundation Family of Foundations totaled over $1 million.

5. The American Foundation has given to over 500 charities since its inception.

6. The American Foundation now supports charitable projects abroad in seven countries.

7. The American Foundation established strategic partnerships with several large financial institutions who now promote charitable giving across America.

8. The American Foundation expanded its Web site to include E-business and special sections specifically tailored to Donors, Charities, and Financial & Tax Professionals.

9. An animated E-mail newsletter goes out weekly to thousands of donors and financial professionals who have requested it.
