News April 2, 1999 THE AMERICAN FOUNDATION LAUNCHES PHILANTHROPIC MAGAZINE Phoenix, AZ --- The American Foundation today announced the launch of its new magazine Charitable Legacies. The American Foundation, which helps individuals, families and corporations create foundations that give financial support to their favorite charities, will publish this new custom magazine through McMurry Publishing three times a year. The premier issue, summer 1999, will make its debut in June. One hundred thousand copies of the first issue will go to current and potential philanthropists and financial professionals who provide tax planning advice, such as tax attorneys, certified public accountants, and financial planners. Charitable Legacies magazine is designed to promote charitable work around the nation and the globe, by educating donors and their advisors about new giving plans and trends in the philanthropic world. The magazine features profiles of philanthropists, from the celebrated to the little-known who nonetheless make a difference in others' lives; innovations in philanthropy, tax issues, estate planning, regular updates on issues affecting philanthropy. “The American Foundation wants to achieve U.S. and worldwide name recognition in the field of philanthropy.
